標題：Netherworld marriage
My friend told me the story of her aunt and her companion. Traditionally,same-sex marriage is considered a taboo,especially in early days.Her aunt had been with her partner for decades but without being legalized, they were treated as of strangers in legal system.When in time for signing medical documents or consent,one could not voice for the other,letting along both being in wedding.Their story has inspired me from taking the idea of Taiwanese folk custom “Netherworld Marriage”,marriage with the dead to express the regret and disappointment they once had.
